Every needle felted piece starts with the right needle. Our felting needles are precision barbed steel, sold by gauge so you can build your own kit around the stage of your project.

36 Gauge: The thickest needle, used first to rough out and shape large areas of wool quickly.

38 Gauge: A slightly finer needle for general shaping and blending as your piece takes form.

40 Gauge: Ideal for adding detail and refining edges once the main shape is set.

42 Gauge: The finest needle, used last for smoothing surfaces and fine detail work.

Tip: Most projects move through all four gauges in sequence, starting coarse at 36 and finishing fine at 42.

Handle with care. Felting needles are sharp and brittle, so always felt on a foam mat or brush pad and keep out of reach of children.
